Quebec: CAI publishes 2023-2024 activity and management report
On October 1, 2024, the Quebec Commission on Access to Information (CAI) published its annual report for the period 2023-2024 which highlights the CAI's key activities and operational performance for the period.
What are the highlights of the report?
Among other things, the report outlines that during the reporting period the CAI:
- received 277 complaints and processed 242 of them;
- received 444 incident notifications (81% coming from the private sector);
- received 124 biometric declarations; and
- received 503 requests for review of disagreement regarding access to personal information or its rectification from the private sector.
