Summary: There is currently no general data protection legislation. However, Dominica has entered into an inter-governmental agreement with the US on the application of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA). FATCA requires foreign financial institutions to report to the USA Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in regard to financial accounts held by US taxpayers, or by foreign entities in which US taxpayers hold a substantial ownership interest. In addition, Dominica is currently a member of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court which is part of the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS).
