Schleswig-Holstein: ULD publishes 2022 activity report
The Schleswig-Holstein data protection authority ('ULD') published, on 15 March 2023, its 2022 activity report. In particular, the activity report outlines that, compared to 2021, the number of complaints has not increased. In this regard, the activity report specifies that the ULD received 1,334 written complaints, of which a total of 1,075 complaints were processed by the same, and issued 498 consultations across the public and private sector, compared to 712 in the previous year.
Further, the activity report highlights that the number of reported data breaches, 498 in 2022, has significantly decreased, in comparison to 649 in 2021, following which the ULD took remedial measures, including:
- 21 warnings;
- an order to amend or restrict processing; and
- two fines.
