Rhineland-Palatinate: LfDI Rheinland-Pfalz holds Business Round Table 2024
On October 7, 2024, the Rhineland-Palatinate data protection authority (LfDI Rheinland-Pfalz) announced that it held the 2024 edition of Business Round Table with the focus on both long-running data protection issues and topics from the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to the right to information and dealing with data protection violations in companies.
The LfDI Rheinland-Pfalz outlined that the meeting included topics with concrete and practical relevance for larger companies, as well as for small and medium-sized companies, such as on the testing of AI in the context of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), on automated decisions in individual cases in the light of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) ruling, and on current developments in the right to information and in dealing with so-called data breaches.
