On November 22, 2024, the National Institute for Access to Information and Protection of Personal Data (INAI) announced that it offered its knowledge and expertise to federal legislators for the drafting of secondary legislation on transparency, access to information, and protection of personal data in order to guarantee homogeneity in the exercise of these prerogatives.

In addition, the INAI noted that several constitutional reforms were approved, including one to extinguish the INAI. Therefore, the INAI urged the Government to establish the bases and principles for a new agency with autonomy and independence.
