Jersey: JOIC issues blog post on online shopping and protection of personal data
The Jersey Office of the Information Commissioner ('JOIC') published, on 3 November 2022, a blog post on online shopping and protecting personal data. In particular, the JOIC provided some tips on how to secure and maintain privacy and security when shopping online, including:
- double-checking URLs;
- using an official online shopping app;
- using strong and secure passwords;
- using multi-factor authentication; and
- using a secure network.
