Bulgaria: CPDP submits 2023 annual report to National Assembly's registry
On March 28, 2024, the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP) submitted its 2023 annual report to the National Assembly's registry. In particular, the report outlines that, during the reporting period, the CPDP:
- received 925 complaints for natural persons (compared to 770 in 2022), with 235 complaints relating to video surveillance;
- was notified of 51 data breaches, with four notifications qualified as high-risk; and
- released 27 opinions on the application of the legislation on data protection.
