Prince Edward Island: OIPC publishes 2019 annual report
The Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner ('OIPC') published, on 15 June 2020, its 2019 annual report ('the Report'). In particular, the Report notes that there have been increased delays in the processing of access requests. In addition, the Report details that there was only one access review under the Health Information Act 2016, and two privacy complaints brought forward, with one being resolved. Finally, the Report outlines that there were seven breach notifications reported to the OIPC, with four being resolved and three resulting in breach reports.
