International: DSB holds meeting with authorities from Czechia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Slovakia

On October 23, 2024, the Austrian data protection authority (DSB) announced that it held meetings with the data protection supervisory authorities from Czechia, Hungary, Slovenia, and Slovakia on September 12-13, 2024. The aim of the meeting was to facilitate mutual exchange and strengthen mutual cooperation at the national and European levels while maintaining each other's independence.

The authorities noted that they have comparable sizes and structures and are faced with similar challenges. The meeting identified numerous points of overlap for increased cooperation and a regular exchange on current topics was agreed.
