Bavaria: BayLfD publishes guidance on data governance
On May 3, 2024, the Bavarian data protection authority (BayLfD) published guidance on the Data Governance Act. The guidance deals with the EU-wide mechanisms for the reuse of certain categories of protected data held by public bodies.
The guidance focuses on instruments for access and reuse and explains the framework conditions for data brokerage services and data altruism. Additionally, the guidance presents the regulation of third-country transfers of non-personal data.
