Angola: MTTI announces APD becoming operational

The Ministry of Telecommunications and Information Technology ('MTTI') announced, on 9 October 2019, that the Data Protection Agency ('APD') had become operational. In particular, the MTTI also noted that Maria das Dores Jesus Correia Pinto had been sworn in as the chairman of the APD. Furthermore, the MTTI highlighted that the APD will be in charge of the supervision and enforcement of Law No. 22/11 on the Protection of Personal Data. Moreover, the MTTI noted that the APD is composed of a chairman, two executive directors, and four non-executive directors.
