An overview of the EU AI Act
The EU AI Act sets a new standard for artificial intelligence regulation, ensuring AI is developed and utilized responsibly. The Act contains key provisions including risk-based classification comprised of four levels of AI risk - minimal, limited, high, and unacceptable as well as placing requirements on AI system providers and users, including transparency, accountability, and data quality. Other key areas of the EU AI Act include mandatory conformity assessments, post-market monitoring, and incident reporting.
