Qatar: QCB adopts AML/CFT act executive regulations

The Qatar Central Bank ('QCB') announced, on 29 December 2019, that it had adopted the executive regulations for Law No. 20 for the year 2019 issuing the Anti-Money Laundering and the Financing of Terrorism Act ('the AML/CFT Act'). In particular, the QCB outlined that the new executive regulations reflect Qatar's commitment to combating money laundering and terrorist financing, in light of the international standards adopted by the main international organisations, including the Financial Action Task Force.
