Austria: DSB joins Digitalization Network
On November 6, 2024, the Austrian data protection authority (DSB) announced that it joined the Digitalization Network after signing the Declaration on a Digitalization Network. The Digitization Network includes the following authorities in addition to the DSB:
- Federal Competition Authority;
- E-Control;
- Financial Market Authority;
- Austrian Communications Authority;
- Broadcasting and Telecom Regulation Authority (RTR) Telecommunications and Post Department;
- Schienen Control; and
- Telekom-Control Commission.
The DSB stated that the Digitalization Network enables the regular exchange of information and experience between these authorities. The aim is to work together closely within the scope of the respective responsibilities to enable a common understanding of the relevant issues of digitalization and avoid different decisions and approaches.
