Tajikistan: President signs data protection law
DataGuidance confirmed, on 31 August 2018, with Alisher Khoshimov, Senior Associate at Centil Law Firm, that the Law on the Protection of Personal Data 2018 ('the Law') had been adopted. The Law, which defines the legal and organisational basis for activities in connection with the collection, processing, storage and protection of personal data, was signed into law by the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, on 4 August 2018.
