Senegal: CDP publishes third quarterly notice
The Senegalese data protection authority ('CDP') published, on 10 October 2022, its third quarterly notice which describes the current situation of the protection of personal data in Senegal, including reviews of compliance activities and complaints and reports handled, as well as assessments of on-site control missions. In particular, the CDP noted that, during the third quarter of 2022, it processed 57 cases, including 39 declarations and 18 authorisation requests. More specifically, the CDP highlighted that the third quarter was marked by an increase in the number of complaints and reports, which mainly concerned video surveillance and geolocation systems in companies.
