Queensland: OIC releases updated breach management guidance
The Office of the Information Commissioner of Queensland ('OIC') released, on 12 February 2018, updated guidance on privacy breach management ('the Guidance') and issued a template on the same ('the Template'). In particular, the Guidance provides information on circumstances when it may be appropriate to notify a third party of a privacy breach. Moreover, the Template is designed to assist agencies to respond to a privacy breach and manage records of its actions and decisions taken.
