Niger: HAPDP publishes lists of personal data protection correspondents and compliant data controllers
The High Authority for the Protection of Personal Data ('HAPDP') published, on 21 January 2021, a list of data controllers who have appointed personal data protection correspondents and a list of data controllers who had been deemed compliant with the Law No. 2017-28 of 3 May 2017 on the Protection of Personal Data. In particular, the former list consists of 11 organisations, including DHL International Niger SARL, Bank of Africa Niger, and World Vision Niger. Furthermore, the latter list categorises 15 data controllers from non-governmental organisations, banks, insurance companies and brokers, and private organisations.
