New Hampshire: AG announces creation of Data Privacy Unit
On August 15, 2024, the New Hampshire Attorney General (AG) announced the creation of the Data Privacy Unit.
The Unit was created pursuant to the New Hampshire Act relative to the expectation of privacy (the Act), signed by the Governor of New Hampshire on March 6, 2024, and entering into force on January 1, 2025.
The AG highlighted that the Unit, which is responsible for enforcing compliance with the Act, will also develop a series of frequently asked questions (FAQs) on assisting compliance with the Act.
