Myanmar: President's Office issues order on AML
Republic of the Union of Myanmar Office of the President ('the President's Office') issued, on 14 November 2019, the Anti-Money Laundering Order No. 45/2019 ('the AML Order'). In particular, the AML Order outlines, among other things, a number of definitions and offences, the duties of the Financial Intelligence Unit, the treatment of witnesses, informants, activists and their family members, as well as the obligations of reporting organisations.
