Monaco: CCIN issues statement on consequences of Brexit on protection of personal information
The Monegasque data protection authority ('CCIN') issued, on 6 February 2020, a statement ('the Statement') on the consequences of Brexit on the protection of personal information. In particular, the Statement notes that during the transitional period, which should end on 31 December 2020, the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR') will continue to apply in the UK and, therefore, data transfers to the UK, or access to data from the UK, does not require a request for authorisation to transfer personal information to the CCIN.
You can read the Statement, only available in French, here.
