Manitoba: Ombudsman releases its annual report for 2020
The Manitoba Ombudsman announced, on 29 December 2021, that it had released its annual report for 2020. In particular, the Ombudsman explained that the report shows several statistics regarding the office's work during the year. More specifically, the Ombudsman detailed that the report includes:
- information about the impact of the pandemic on office operations;
- statistics about complaints received and cases in general;
- case summaries of complaint investigations under the Personal Health Information Act, SM 1997 c 51 and the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. F.31; and
- statistics about the types of privacy breaches reported.
