Lithuania: VDAI publishes training materials for DPOs
On October 20, 2024, the State Data Protection Inspectorate (VDAI) announced the publication of training materials for data protection officers (DPOs).
The VDAI DPO training materials include information on:
- the legislative requirements of DPOs;
- video surveillance in public places;
- how to implement the principle of transparency;
- guidelines for personal data security and risk assessment;
- practical recommendations for identifying the data controller and data processor; and
- implementing the obligations of Directive (EU) 2022/2555 on Security of Network and Information Systems (NIS 2 Directive) within organizations.
