EU: Commission requests public feedback on DPF

On August 9, 2024, the European Commission announced that it published a call for evidence seeking public feedback for a report on the first review of the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF).

The Commission clarified that the adequacy decision for the DPF, adopted in July 2023, foresees a periodic review, the first of which is to take place within one year to assess whether all elements of the DPF are in place and functioning as intended. The findings and conclusions of the first review will be presented by the Commission in a report.

Timeframe

The Commission outlined that the feedback can be submitted on its website until September 6, 2024 (midnight Brussels time), and once submitted will be published on the website.
