El Salvador: Data Protection Law and Cybersecurity Law published in Official Gazette
On November 15, 2024, Decree No. 144 containing the Data Protection Law, and Decree No. 143 containing the Cybersecurity Law were published in the Official Gazette, following their approval by the Legislative Assembly on November 13, 2024.
Entry into effect
Both laws came into effect eight days after their publication in the Official Gazette.
