Delaware: Bill to create AI Commission passes House
On June 25, 2024, House Bill 333 to amend the Delaware code relating to artificial intelligence commission was passed by the Delaware House of Representatives. The bill must now be signed by the Governor of Delaware.
In particular, the bill defines several terms such as 'artificial intelligence' and 'generative artificial intelligence,' as well as creating the Delaware Artificial Intelligence Commission, outlining its composition and tasks.
If the bill is enacted, the Commission must hold its first meeting no later than August 1, 2024, and the bill would expire 10 years after its enactment into law.
