Belarus: Resolution on procedure for obtaining patient consent in healthcare sector enters into effect

The Resolution of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus on the Forms and Procedure for Obtaining Consent and Processing Patient Data entered, on 23 July 2021, into effect. In particular, the resolution outlines that written consent must be collected from patients prior to entering their confidential personal data into the electronic medical record and that patients should be informed of their right to refuse the entry of their confidential personal information into the system. In addition, the resolution includes a template for obtaining consent.
