Bavaria: BayLfD publishes working papers and FAQs on data protection in education sector
On July 15, 2023, the Bavarian data protection authority (BayLfD) published two working papers and frequently asked questions (FAQs) regarding data protection in the education sector, namely:
- a working paper on photos and video recordings at school, with a particular focus on data processing, legal bases, consent, data sharing with third parties, and information provision obligations;
- a working paper on privacy and student records, outlining the content, use, and storage requirements; and
- FAQs on data protection in public schools in Bavaria.
