US Privacy laws on the horizon: Which states will be next?
Indiana, Tennessee, Florida, and Montana have joined the US Privacy landscape, with now ten states that have enacted a comprehensive privacy law. In addition to the newly enacted laws, Texas is also on the horizon with a privacy bill in the last stages of the legislative process. In line with existing US State privacy legislation, these pieces of legislation introduce requirements governing the collection, use, sale and sharing of consumer data, and establish consumer data rights. Nevertheless, there are notable differences in multiple areas, including their scope of application.
In this webinar recording, OneTrust DataGuidance and privacy experts unpack Indiana, Tennessee, Montana, Florida, and Texas enacted or proposed privacy laws, examining their differences and similarities, exploring key compliance considerations, and discussing the implications for organisations.
