Ivory Coast: ARCTI publishes 2018 annual report
The Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire ('ARTCI') published, on 11 October 2019, its 2018 Activity Report ('the Report'). In particular, the Report outlines, among other things, the opinions and decisions issued by ARTCI on the protection of personal data, and its regulatory actions with regard to telecommunications/ICT, electronic transactions, network and information systems. Furthermore, the Report highlights that, pursuant to Article 47 of Law 2013-450 on the Protection of Personal Data, ARTCI issued, in 2018, 77 decisions, 12 of which concerned the protection of personal data, two on the regulation of postal activities, and 63 relating to telecommunications/ICT regulation. In addition, the Report includes a section on cybersecurity and the fight against cybercrime, particularly security incident processing.
