Argentina: Bill amending law on rights of consumers of ICT services introduced to Chamber of Deputies

On May 15, 2024, the Bill amending Law 27.078 establishing the rights of users and consumers of ICT services was introduced to the Argentine Chamber of Deputies. In particular, the bill aims to enhance the quality of service and user rights within the information and communications technology (ICT) sector. Among the changes introduced by the bill, is the right of consumers to direct human intervention and communication. It also places further information provision duties on the controller of the ICT service to fulfill the consumers' right to information.
