Ivory Coast – ARTCI opens public consultation on the development of a national strategy on AI and metaverse
On April 30, 2024, the Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI) announced that it was seeking information from stakeholders in the digital economy (including consumers, administrations, operators and service providers, umbrella companies, etc.) on artificial intelligence (AI) and the metaverse.
In particular, the consultation aims to guide the development of a national strategy on AI and the metaverse in Ivory Coast, taking into account the needs and aspirations of all stakeholders.
The ARTCI noted that the results of the consultations will be made public and shared with relevant stakeholders, including government, businesses, civil society, and academic institutions. Furthermore, the ARTCI provided an avenue for additional information to be provided by contacting the ARTCI Studies and Foresight Department via email at [email protected] or phone at + 225 27 20 34 43 73 / 74, ext. 2053.
Comments can be submitted through online questionnaires until May 3, 2024.
