Maine: Bill for Data Privacy and Protection Act receives divided report from Judiciary Committee
On March 26, 2024, Legislative Document 1977 for An Act to Create the Data Privacy and Protection Act received a divided report during the work sessions of the Maine House of Representatives Judiciary Committee. The divided report shows that the bill received a vote to pass from the majority of the Judiciary Committee, although some Committee members voted that the bill should not pass. The next step is for the bill to return to the House once it has been reported out.
