Uruguay: URCDP issues adequacy decision on South Korea and entities under the EU-US DPF

The Uruguayan data protection authority (URCDP) published, on November 21, 2023, its Resolution No 63/2023, by which it recognized South Korea and the entities under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (DPF) as having an adequate level of data protection for cross-border data transfers. The adequacy decision from the URCDP was based on similar adequacy decisions adopted by the European Commission on South Korea and the EU-US DPF.
