Saudi Arabia: MCIT signs MoU with Oman to develop digital economy

The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology ('MCIT') announced, on 3 November 2021, that the Saudi Minister of Communications and Information Technology and the Omani Minister of Transport, Communications and Information Technology had signed a memorandum of understanding ('MoU') in the fields of communications and information technology, as well as the postal sector, in order to strengthen cooperation and achieve development in the two countries. In particular, the MCIT highlighted that, according to the MoU, the two sides will work on enhancing bilateral communication, exchanging information in the field of communication, as well as information technology, and its application to develop the digital economy.
