Uruguay: URCDP announces new breach notification portal
The Uruguayan data protection authority ('URCDP') announced, on 22 October 2021, that it has launched a new breach notification portal. In particular, the URCDP outlined that those responsible and those in charge of processing will be able to safely comply with the obligation to inform the URCDP, immediately and in detail, of possible security breaches, as well as the measures they have adopted for their mitigation; in accordance with the provisions of Article 38 of Law No. 19,670 and Articles 3 and 4 of Decree No. 64/020.
