Rhineland-Palatinate: LfDI Rheinland-Pfalz publishes 2021 activity report
The Rhineland-Palatinate data protection authority ('LfDI Rheinland-Pfalz') published, on 9 September 2022, its 2021 activity report on data protection. In particular, the activity report outlines that the LfDI Rheinland-Pfalz has issued 89 warnings, 13 penalty payments, 11 fines, and 13 instructions, among other things, in the period between 1 January and 31 December 2021. Moreover, the activity report details legal and practical challenges of the pandemic in terms of data protection, including the relationship between employees and employers and digitisation.
