Montenegro: AZLP obtains observer status in EDPB
The Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information ('AZLP') announced, on 22 November 2018, that it had obtained observer status in the European Data Protection Board ('EDPB'). In particular, the AZLP stated that by acquiring observer status, it will be able to attend the EDPB's plenary meetings and monitor its work, with the aim of aligning the Personal Data Protection Law 79/08 and 70/09 with the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) ('GDPR').
