Mecklenburg-Vorpommern: LfDI Mecklenburg-Vorpommern publishes 2020 activity report

The State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ('LfDI Mecklenburg-Vorpommern') published, on 27 July 2021, its 2020 activity report. In particular, the LfDI Mecklenburg-Vorpommern highlighted that the COVID-19 pandemic had been a central focus for the year, prompting questions regarding the use of video conferencing systems, among other things. Furthermore, the LfDI Mecklenburg-Vorpommern outlined that the number of complaints had risen from 533 in 2019 to 790 in 2020 and that the number of reported data breaches also increased, from 108 in 2019 to 178 in 2020.
