Ivory Coast: ARTCI announces personal data protection control programme
The Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire ('ARTCI') announced, on 8 July 2022, that it will carry out control programmes in relation to the protection of personal data and privacy over the entire national territory from 12 July to 30 November 2022. In particular, the ARTCI highlighted that it invites all companies appearing on this list to take the necessary measures for the success of these control missions. Furthermore, the ARTCI provided that obstructing or opposing the exercise of the missions entrusted to the members or authorised ARTCI agents constitutes an offence punishable by criminal and/or pecuniary sanctions.
