International: Italy and Albania sign MoU on strategic cooperation in field of cybersecurity

On September 27, 2024, the Italian National Security Agency (ACN) announced that Director General, Bruno Frattasi, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Director General of the Albanian National Cybersecurity Authority (NCSA), Igli Tafa.

According to the ACN, the agreement aims to promote cooperation between the two institutions in areas such as:

  • cyber capacity building;
  • exchange of information;
  • best practices; and
  • experiences and procedures in the field of cybersecurity.

Additionally, the agreement is said to provide for mutual assistance and support in preventing and managing cyber incidents, the development and implementation of strategic projects, and joint cyber exercises.
