Georgia: PDPS releases activity report for first months of 2024
On April 17, 2024, the Personal Data Protection Service (PDPS) released its activity report relating to the first three months of 2024.
The report outlined that the PDPS:
- received 666 complaints from individuals, most of which related to data processing by private organizations;
- conducted 57 inspections;
- identified 29 cases of illegal processing of personal data, most of which were committed by organizations in the private sector;
- issued 58 tasks and recommendations to public institutions, private organizations, and law enforcement agencies; and
- received one data breach notification.
