Costa Rica: MICITT publishes draft national cybersecurity strategy
The Ministry of Science, Technology and Telecommunications ('MICITT') announced, on 27 April 2023, the publication of its draft national cybersecurity strategy for 2023 to 2027. In particular, the MICITT stated that the aim of publishing the draft strategy is to allow interested individuals and institutions to analyse the same, prior to continuing the process of consultation and implementation.
In this regard, Paula Bogantes, the Minister of MICITT, noted that the draft strategy follows the collaboration and contributions from various partners and organisations in analysing the context and definition of Costa Rica's priorities to develop its level of maturity and enhance its capacities in the field of cybersecurity.
