Albania: IDP introduces 2022 annual report
On May 23, 2023, the Office of the Information and Data Protection Commissioner (IDP) announced that the Commissioner, Mr. Besnik Dervishi, introduced the IDP 2022 annual report to the Commission for Legal Affairs, Public Administration and Human Rights of the Assembly of the Republic of Albania.
The annual report highlights that, in 2022, a total of 370 complaints were examined. In addition, the annual report outlines that a total of 48 investigations were conducted, of which 10 were based on individual complaints, and that, for the detected violations, the IDP issued 17 decisions, which corresponded to 63 administrative sanctions imposed on entities found in violation of the law.
